When your student is getting a state issued Driver’s License or Permit, you will need to have verification that you’re enrolled in school. They might accept your membership certificate that was issued for your family. But, they usually want some specific details that are not included on that certificate.
- a current or recent date on the letter
- wording that verifies you are still registered (specifically not truant or expelled from our rosters).
* Good Driver Discount for insurance may also request the recent report card or a recent copy of your high school transcript. But, those documents should not be necessary for the DMV.
Permit only needs the verification for enrollment. License has a form from the driving school as well. When we process your verification letter, you will also get instructions on how to fill in that section on the form so that it matches our verification letter.
