Ranger David Jenkins will speak about pollinators and why they are so important. The students/families will assemble the bee homes made from bamboo and hang them in the garden. We can then do a tour of the garden with our Green Steps Mentor rangers (Beth). We’ll work with them to do a “spring cleaning” (pull weeds, spread mulch, etc.).
Bring a branch snipper/lopper to cut the bamboo and/or a rake if you have one. Dress comfortable for outside–it might be chilly and we might get dirty.
